Terms and Conditions of Lulu

1. Payment and Rates:

  • Mode of Payment: Lulu operates strictly on a cashless basis. Payments are accepted only via credit card through our online booking platform.
  • Currency and Pricing: All rates are quoted in Samoan Tala (WST) and offer unlimited mileage.
  • Rental Period: Rentals are based on a 24-hour cycle. To avoid additional charges, please return the vehicle on the agreed day and time.
  • Booking Confirmation: A 50% deposit of the booking amount is required to confirm your booking. The remaining 50% and security deposit is due upon vehicle pickup.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Cancellations within 7 days of the rental start date are non-refundable.
    • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the start date will incur a 25% cancellation fee.

2. Security Deposit:

  • A refundable deposit of WST$500 is required for all bookings.
  • The deposit will be refunded to the original payment method within 5-10 business days, provided the vehicle is returned in its original condition.

3. Fuel Policy:

  • Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be refueled upon return at the renter's expense. Failure to do so will result in the use of the security deposit for refueling.

4. Driver Requirements:

  • Minimum Age: Drivers must be at least 21 years old.
  • Licensing: A valid, full driver's license from your home country is required, along with a Samoan Temporary License (WST$21, valid for one month).
  • Non-Smoking: All vehicles are strictly non-smoking.

5. Operating Hours and Delivery:

  • Hours: Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Sundays and holidays are available by appointment only.
  • Delivery: Vehicles can be picked up and dropped off at any location in Upolu, with charges added to the total booking amount. See Airport & Transfers.

6. Insurance and Liability:

  • Base liability for damages is set at WST$3000.
  • An optional daily fee of WST$40.00 reduces the excess to WST$0.

7. No Show Policy:

  • Failure to show for pickup or drop-off within one hour of the scheduled time will result in the forfeiture of the initial payment, except if the arrangement is at the Lulu yard during operating hours. Changes must be communicated at least 6 hours in advance.

8. Last Minute Bookings:

  • Last minute bookings require a pickup time of at least 5 hours after the booking is made.

9. Security Deposit Coverage:

The deposit covers cleaning, refueling, scratches, stains, missing accessories, and damages to the vehicle or its accessories.

10. Rental Duration:

  • Lulu does not offer half-day rentals. All rentals are based on a full 24-hour period.

11. Seasonal Pricing:

  • Prices may increase during peak seasons (June-September and November-January) due to high demand.

12. Lost Keys:

  • A fee of WST$500 will be charged for lost keys.

13. Booking Changes:

  • Bookings can be transferred to a later date for the same or a longer period. Once changed, bookings are final and non-refundable.
